The free tier gives you 5 AI sessions per month, access to all 6 assessor personalities, core CBT and ACT techniques, and a basic mood log. Emergency spiral mode, frequency therapy, mind games, and the full mood timeline require a paid plan. No credit card is needed to sign up.
Yes, completely. Cancel your monthly or annual subscription at any time from inside the app under Settings → Manage subscription. You keep access until the end of the billing period you have already paid for. No cancellation fees.
When you reach your session allowance for the month you will see the paywall screen. You can buy a top-up (10 sessions for £0.99 or 20 for £1.49) to continue immediately, or wait for your allowance to reset on the 1st of the following month. Top-up sessions stack on top of your monthly allowance and never expire.
Each time you start a new session — emergency mode or any of the five structured session types — one session is deducted from your allowance. The session counter increments at the start of the conversation, not at the end. Browsing techniques, logging your mood, and using the mood timeline do not count towards your session allowance.
The voice add-on uses ElevenLabs AI to give each of the six assessors a distinct spoken voice. When voice is enabled, every response from your assessor is read aloud automatically. You can toggle voice on or off per session inside the session settings panel. The voice add-on is billed monthly at £59.99 and can be cancelled independently of your main plan at any time from Settings.
Not yet, but it is on the roadmap. If you are a student or NHS worker and the pricing is a barrier, please reach out via the contact page and we will see what we can do.
Both plans include the same features — 60 sessions per month, emergency mode, full CBT and ACT library, frequency therapy, mind games, and the mood timeline. The annual plan saves 34% compared to paying monthly, plus you get priority AI response speed and early access to new tools as they launch. At £79/year you are paying the equivalent of £6.58 per month.

Sarah started on the free tier with 5 sessions a month, then upgraded to monthly when she saw results in week three. Twelve weeks later she was discharged from her GP’s anxiety monitoring list.

James compared Stop The Loop to a private therapist he’d seen at £90 a session. “I was getting the same structured work at a fraction of the cost, whenever I needed it, not just on Tuesdays at 6pm.”

Mark was on the annual plan at £79. “I worked out I was doing about three sessions a week. That’s two pence a session. I used to spend more on coffee trying to calm my nerves before meetings.”

Emma was on maternity leave with limited income. “The free tier got me started. By the time my five free sessions ran out I already knew it was working. The monthly plan was less than my streaming subscriptions.”
